3 PM, March 3, 2013 saw the debut performance of Matt Schwarz's "Taliesyn Overture: The Legend of King Arthur" for orchestra (with electric guitar and narrator) by the Castle Rock Orchestra, led by conductor Matthew Rose. Aside from composing (and orchestrating) the piece, Sleepy Hollow guitarist Matt Schwarz played harp and guitar, while Shaw Quirk did some great lead piccolo and Ken Mervine did the narration narration. There's a little avante-gardish bit in the middle, representing the chaos in Britain before Arthur's steadying influence - a critic might say it was the result of the orchestra, conductor, and guitarist having different ideas of a particular tempo change, but don't you believe it!
