Week 3 of It's a Miserable Life - June 30, 2015
We can't keep them forever and now we lost one of the greatest bass players of all time. He was a big influence on the band and even can hear his influence in many bassists like Geddy Lee, Steve Harris and Cliff Burton to name a few. He defined the Rickenbacker Bass. thank you for all the great music you gave us.
The groundbreaking book by Joe Dell titled Goin' Over, based after the musie that was released back in 2004, is now available as the final edit. We caught up with Joe. Joe, "Yeah, I rushed to release the book back in late 2013. I wanted it out in time for Christmas, but, it was not yet edited. We finally got it together and now both the hard copy and ebooks are without the original errors. I guess the 1st printing will be collector's items one day."
Now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and where ever books are sold.
Triple B was one of the founding members of Spectrum Green back in 1996 and played bass and sung in Sleepy Hollow in 2008. He was a close personal friend and brother to Joe Dell along with his fellow band mates. Triple B was a virtuoso guitarist and humble. Please take the time and listen to some of his magic on the recordings he did with both bands. He is deeply loved and missed.
Joe, what a beautiful song. It spoke to me and hit 'home' hard and I'm exactly in the spot your song tells. It's not coincidence that I heard you. It's like you wrote my present state. It's a great song Joe in every way. The piano part was soothing and I was swept away. I had no idea it would hit like a bullseye arrow shot. I have to have it. Keep it coming Joe. With gratitude.
Thank you Joe. This surely swept me away. I had no idea it would tell my own story n' present situation. Thank you for soothing my heart with such beautiful piano and melody. Joe Dell
keep it going and get that song to a major label. I have to keep this forever.
Matt Schwarz will be working on a new non-Sleepy Hollow Band project with a group out in Colorado. Word has reached us that he has contacted Joe Dell about laying down keyboard tracks with Bob Both back in New Jersey. This will be the first project the 2 have worked on together since 2010. We will have more details as the project develops.
Joe Dell has submitted his 3rd and final edit to Infinity Publishing to be released as the new Ebook in a few weeks. We caught up with Joe for some insight. Joe, "Yeah, the original edit was filled with mistakes, but, I wanted it released for Christmas of 2013. Then in 2014 I submitted the 2nd edit with the corrections for the hard copy. So, if you have the first edit, hold on tight, those are soon to be collector items. The 2nd edit had the corrections. The 3rd edit is the finite edit and will replace the now available 1st edit on ebook, which is still loaded with grammatical errors." We will update you when the new edit is available.
Sleepy Hollow sends their love and prayers to mother of Taylor Swift who has been diagnosed with Cancer. Joe Dell, losing his mother to the same deadly disease knows the pain of losing a loved one at such a young age. God bless Taylor and her family through these trying times.
