Sleepy Hollow: Songs

For The World Is Hollow (And I Have Touched The Sky)

(Sleepy Hollow)
January 29, 2005
words: Dell, music: pt 1- Dell, pt.2 - Castiel
A heavy, angry Dell piano-song followed by a classical-sounding instrumental section by Dan. In the acoustic days, Joe set his keys to a flute sound to get a flute ensemble with Matt, so Mole recreated that with multi-tracked flutes here. Mole surprises even himself with some wonderfully nasty lead guitar in the beginning section!

Joe - vocals, piano, synth, bass guitar
Mole - electric guitar, flute
Gary - drums

FOR THE WORLD IS HOLLOW (AND I HAVE TOUCHED THE SKY) - 6:05

Blind old woman can't see straight
Hope your ears are working well
Soon you won't laugh loud
When you're soul is in Hell

Wrote a spectrum of songs
'Bout you once before
The snow made your leg break
And made your nose sore

For your mind is shallow
I will not question why
For the world is hollow
And I have touched the sky

Big fish, lost in a small pond
Watch you die and decay
Do you try and make love
Or just make the pay

You don't want to see what
Happened the night before
You can cover the mirror
You can't cover the whore

For your mind is shallow
I will not question why
For the world is hollow
And I have touched the sky
